What is a soapy sponge?!  It is a soap-infused sponge that combines cleansing and exfoliation in one convenient product.  Unlike traditional bar soap, the soap is embedded directly into a soft, slightly textured sponge, eliminating mess and dripping while you bathe or shower. The sponge's gentle texture provides light exfoliation to slough away dead skin, leaving your skin refreshed and smooth. One soapy sponge lasts as long as—or often longer than—a standard bar of soap, making it an efficient, eco-conscious choice for your daily skincare routine.

Note:  The soap dictates the color, different based on the scent.  As the soap is used up, the sponge will turn to pink, the actual color of the sponge itself.

About sodium hydroxide (lye):  All true soap is made when a chemical reaction occurs (saponification) between sodium hydroxide and the oils/butters being mixed together.  This process is complete after about 48 hours, at which point, no sodium hydroxide remains in the soap.  Even though sodium hydroxide is not in the end product, it is listed, as it is used to make the soap.
