Meet the Maker

Welcome to Plume!  My name is Angi Lay, and I am the owner and creator here at Plume.  At the end of June 2020, I left the corporate world of 20 years behind (yes, during a global pandemic!).  Out of college, I began my career as a staff accountant and worked my way up to a Corporate Controller.  I truly loved accounting, but, the stress and time away from my family was taking a toll. 

When I left, I enjoyed some much-needed time with my family and began formulating luxurious bath and body recipes to cultivate quality products so I could start a new and exciting venture!  I launched this business at the beginning of October 2020, and am so excited to grow it.

I have been married for almost 20 years to a Decatur fireman (proud firewife) and have 2 amazing children.  My daughter recently turned 16 and is now driving, which doesn’t seem right, and my son is 12 and plays a lot of video games!  I strive to teach them that you can do anything you set your mind to, including walking away from a successful career to start a new one, at any point in your life...so long as you are living life to it's fullest!
