Lemongrass Patchouli Artisan Soap

Whether you love or hate patchouli (there’s no in between), you will love this bar!  Patchouli has a grounding, balancing effect, and when paired with lemongrass, your mood will certainly be uplifted.

Lemongrass is a natural astringent, antiseptic, and antibacterial agent. It detoxifies the skin and removes impurities.  Patchouli alleviates acne conditions, eczema, dry and cracked skin.

Ingredients:  Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Shea Butter, Avocado Oil, Cocoa Butter, Castor Oil, Essential Oils, Kaolin Clay, Turmeric Powder.

About sodium hydroxide (lye):  All true soap is made when a chemical reaction occurs (saponification) between sodium hydroxide and the oils/butters being mixed together.  This process is complete after about 48 hours, at which point, no sodium hydroxide remains in the soap.  Even though sodium hydroxide is not in the end product, it is listed, as it is used to make the soap.
